When I was in college (my undergrad was at a Bible seminary), one of the books we were required to read was – The Seven Last Words of the Church.”
Those words – “We Never Tried It That Way Before.”
How many times have you said, “I never did it that way before?”
There’s always another way.
I usually tell my classes there are at least 3 ways to do anything.
The way on the left, the way on the right and a way somewhere in between.
Have you ever asked yourself, “What would I do if my pc crashed? What if the audio didn’t work in the mic? What if the bulb went out on the projector? What if the 70-somethings didn’t show up and a whole room of 20-somethings did?”
Each of these scenarios have happened to me at one time or another.
Never one to fret – I always have a plan B and a plan C.

Sometimes I want to work Plan B just to see how things play out. In doing so, I have to do things differently, consider how do adjust = be creative.
Try something different that you normally would not even it MAY not give you the results you think you will get. You might just be surprised when your Plan B becomes your Plan A. Or maybe some hybrid of the 2 becomes your new presentation style.
And you will be a more creative public speaker, too.
