Royal Caribbean no longer calls us “Destination” speakers. They now prefer the term: “History & Culture Guest Speaker”. They have just released openings for History & Culture Guest Speakers for the following Caribbean (and Alaska) trips. Are you ready? SpeakOnCruises can help.

I would like to be a destination speaker on a cruise ship. My background is a PhD in Oceanography and an MS in Geology. I currently teach Oceanography, Geology, and Global Climate Change at Broward College in Ft. Lauderdale. I was a guest lecturer on the RCCL Explorer of the Seas in the early 2000’s when the ship had a working science lab in cooperation with the Univ. of Miami.
Dr Jay – We responded to you a couple weeks ago…..haven’t heard back.
Hi
I am sorry, I just returned to this link and saw your post. Please send an email to me at jpmuza@gmail.com. Thanks.
Sent you an email with a discussion of our program.
Rick
I would like to be a destination speaker on a cruise ship. I currently teach a leisure learning class at a local community college titled “On The Other Side of Grief, Where Spirit, Faith & Science Meet”. The course description is as follows: “This course is designed to help anyone going through the grief process. Whether you are grieving the loss of a loved one, pondering your own mortality or curious about what happens when we die, understanding how spirit, faith and science work together will leave you feeling less fearful of death and comforted by knowing that your loved ones are still with you in spirit. This course combines spiritual, faith-based and scientific perspectives to create an atmosphere of positivity, hope and healing in our quest to understand and cope with death. All faiths welcome.”
Course Outline:
Week 1 Overview of life experience, discussing goals and how to achieve them
Week 2 Spirit Communication, personal experiences, review of research
Week 3 How to reconcile spirit communication and quantum physics with religion
Week 4 Quantum Physics and how it relates to our daily life as well as post life
Week 5 Science, Fight v. Flight, Do we feel pain when we die?
Week 6 Self care for those grieving the loss of a loved one, review of all material
This class has been very well received from 1) people who are grieving and are looking for practical self-help tips, as well as 2) people interested in more of the spiritual side of things, what science/quantum physics tells us about what happens when we die, including spirit communication, near death experiences, etc.
I am teaching my 3rd semester and am tinkering with the curriculum to create one class for those who are truly grieving and a different class for those who are more interested in quantum physics, life after death, near death experiences, etc. Consolidating this information to fit a cruise-ship lecture format will be easy to do.
I love, love, love sharing this information; I have a really fascinating story about how I became interested in all of this. The feedback from my classes has been 100% positive.
Look forward to hearing from you soon!
