SpeakOnCruises is the only company that is out to help speakers get onboard cruise ships by teaching the process of getting accepted by agencies – AND the cruise lines.
Over the years, most cruise lines have outsourced the recruitment and vetting of their speakers. It was a money saving idea that has stuck. There are just a handful of booking agents, but alas, they are former Cruise Directors or have been on staff at the major lines.
They know what the ships want.
A speaker can google to death to find the agencies that can place them – but there is a catch: the agents are not staffed with rooms of people. You need to know how best to work with them. As a result, your introit may disappear down into the DELETE stack.

The agents are busy: they need to find people, get openings from the cruise lines they work with, make sure the speaker is top notch and prepared, then baby-sit them after they get a confirmation. This takes time. AND a big gotcha is: “is the person prepared?” Not just how to deliver a talk….but are they prepared for the experience?
SpeakOnCruises.com teaches a two hour 1 on 1 seminar, in- person or via Internet. They do a pre-vetting of the prospect. The seminar includes the industry, the types of talks needed, daily life onboard as a lecturer and how to present themselves to the agencies. They also help develop needed Bio’s, talk subjects and other things required by the lines. Their interest in each client is evidenced by their follow-up.
You will be annointed a Certified Cruise Lecturer.
For outstanding clients, they give an introduction to select agents. The fee for all this is low and you get your money-back if they don’t train you!
