In a word: ZERO. Cruise ships do not pay for speakers
Why should you do it? Although there is no exchange of dollars, pounds, euros or bit coins, the value to you is worth getting an agent and sailing.
How does free for two sound? All you have to do is deliver quality talks for 45 minutes. You speak when the ship is on the open seas…not on port days.

Sure, the talks have to be good – you need to have public speaking experience and credentials for your topic. Do you know more about a subject than most? What is your passion? What do you want to share? We’re not talking college level classes – or even high school. The ships want “Edu-tainment.” Fun but interesting talks directed primarily to older people, who are retired and on vacation.

To sweeten the pot and get you on board, you will usually get 50% off your booze, 20% off things in the gift store and you have all the perks of the passengers. We show you have to get discounted Internet (I’ve seen up to 75 cents a minute!!)
A major carrot is the chance to get free excursions, simply by escorting the passengers on the bus to the site. This alone can save you an easy grand. A bonus: you MIGHT even get air covered!!
You are NOT allowed to promote your business. But you can mention in casual conversations what else you do – but not when giving your talks. They will not be happy and you may not sail with them again.
Leave us a comment and read though this website. We can teach you all the above and help get you on the ship-speaking circuit.
