When I was first accepted by a cruise line, I got an email, “Mr. Belew, here is a list of places we go. Where would you like to go?”
Great question.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you like to go?
How about going to see the dragons on Komodo island? Holland America Line goes there from Singapore.
How about boarding a semi-submersible craft in going down under in St. Bart’s? Oceania Cruises Riviera goes there.
Then there is San Jose. Not the one you know the way to. The San Jose del CAbo in Baja Mexico. You can see, um, sea, no see whales in the Sea of Cortes on an Un-Cruise Adventures.
Easter in Italy? I will be arriving in the old country in Nice, France on an Azamara cruise that will be departing for an 11-night Mediterranean Easter that stops in Civitavecchia just outside Rome and in time for Palm Sunday mass at the Vatican.
Southern Hemisphere? Searborn Cruise Line does Antarctic Exploration and the Seabourn Quest does the Amazon River.
Know your Bible? Aegean Odyssey cruises to Crete, then through the Suez Canal and into the Red Sea. Look! On your right are the pyramids at Giza and the Valley of the Kings.
Azamara has an 11-night Memories of World War II cruise that stops in Cherbourg, France.
And and and and …
Where would you like to go?
Being a special interest lecturer can get you to places you have never been. A destination lecturer can help new cruisers enjoy a place they have never been.
