Take Time to Do Things Right | The Blogger and Professional Speaker Share Needs

Blogging Speaker

Blogging Speaker

Very few speakers make money just speaking. Very few writers/bloggers make money just writing/blogging.

There’s a lot of time spent researching for both.

Writing and blogging requires a mastery of a content management system – i n the case of online delivery.

Speakers Take Time to Do it Right

There’s a lot of time spent on the presentation mechanics for speaking. Getting the right images, the right presentation software, using the right story board.

I have never done the math but I reckon it can take me as long as an hour of preparation time for each minute of delivery.

How Long to Spend Time Preparing Each Talk

If I give 4 talks that are 45 minutes each on a cruise ship, I will spend 45 hours on EACH of those talks getting ready.

Getting ready = reading, practice, working on my deck, thinking, delivering in a related venue.

The speaker/writer should understand that there is a LOT more time spent behind the delivery than is spent making the delivery.

Be prepared to devote the time.

Reach out to us and we will get you on a cruise ship as a speaker.
