Some of the cruisers asked me to put up my slides so they could access them later on.
There were a lot of numbers to look at. Much to digest.
The 5 presentations on Social Media:
1 – Social Media – What’s All the Hype
2 – Facebook – Like the World
3 – Twitter/LinkedIn – Message the World and Link the World (I combined these two because of time constraints)
4 – Google+ – Organize the World
One of my opening lines –
“No doubt your kids and grand kids know more about social media and the social networks than you do. But when I am done, I guarantee you will know something about these phenomena that they do not know.”

My goal as a cruise ship lecturer on this particular cruise, and make no mistake the bar was high, was for someone/s to say to me when the cruise was over, the whole experience was great but most of all I did NOT expect that lecture on social media to be so good.
I got this unsolicited email from one of the cruisers who looked up my email address (I did not give it out), got it wrong but somehow the email still got to me.
“Obviously your talks were highlights of our journey. I valued the knowledge of the extent and capabilities of the social media.”
Don’t just do good when speaking on a cruise ship. Do great.
