
I don’t hang around the social networks all that often.
I don’t have a huge Bill-what-did-you-have-for-breakfast of where-are-you-going-to-be next following on Twitter, so I pretty much stay away from there. That being said, I have gotten two speaking gigs – one in Cape Town and one via webinar from Twitter.
I don’t have a lot of friends so I don’t do the Facebook thing. That being said, one of my cruise agents always posts her latest up-to-date needs for speakers on Facebook first. So, I check that pretty regularly to see what she needs and when.
Most of anybody I want to keep in touch with doesn’t know how or just doesn’t use Google+. I wish they would but it’s a tough road.
LinkedIn – I hang around a lot. One out of every 3 professional in the world is on LinkedIn … or so I hear. I hang out on LI because a LOT of people who need/want me are there. I got a phone call a few days back from a woman who is following my posts on LI. I have publishing privileges on LinkedIn. Today, I published –

LinkedIn has grown up. It’s not just job hunters any more. Though there are still a LOT of them. Now there are companies looking for employees, or contractors to fill gaps.
