A good story comes to life. The listeners can see the story being acted out in front of them.
No, you don’t need to be able to have multiple personalities. But it won’t hurt.
The audience needs to feel the emotion, the passion, the mission of the speaker.
When the hairs on the back of the neck of the speaker goes up, the audience should be moments behind.
A good speaker can tell when they are just mouthing words as opposed to the words come bubbling or boiling out because of what is going on in the story being told.
Twain said something along the lines, “Don’t tell me the lady screamed. Bring her on the stage and let her scream!” That’s powerful.
