
Speaking is a business. Or it can be if taken seriously enough and you are good enough and your network is big enough and the number of people in need of your expertise broad enough.
Invariably, when someone is vetting you as a potential speaker for their group the discussion will turn to “Where have you spoken in the past?”
“I travel for free on cruise ships at the invitation of the cruise lines to talk about my expertise to the cruising demographic.”
Or …
“I have spoken in the Caribbean, France, Portugal, Spain … ” and all those places where cruise ships stop.

Make no mistake, not everybody qualifies to speak on cruise ships. Cruise ships will not take just anybody … or most anybodies
If you can go, it is worth telling people you have been. Better yet, you have been invited back, too.
Cruise ship lecturing is a feather in the cap of credibility … and good credibility makes for good business.
