Cruise ship directors will NOT allow you to present on board if you do not have a visuals to go with your presentation. Okay that’s a double negative. Let me try again. You must have a visual presentation as well.
Your agent will tell you that there must be a PowerPoint presentation even we know PowerPoint is not the only player in the game.
I use Prezi …hence whiteboard in the title with slides, or sometimes deck.
Prezi requires more creativity than PowerPoint.

But done well, your Prezi will also tell a story.
The images at the various places in your presentation individually can tell a story.
Put together presentation well your story will have several layers that will each have a story to tell.
Letting an image or a slide in your PowerPoint make a powerful point is entirely possible as well, but the slides don’t add up to an overall message as well as they do in Prezi.
Don’t just speak and show pictures.
Tell a story. Let your visuals tell a story. Let the two of them complement one another so well that together they tell a story.
Be creative … get your camera out, tap into your favorite animator, touch the ears and the eyes of the cruisers listening to your presentation and you will get kudos for a job well done.
