Don’t be satisfied with being good as a cruise ship lecturer. Aim for great. One of the best ways to do great is to always be proactive in improving your skills.
Here’s my second tip for boosting you cruise ship speaking skills.
Express Your Passion
Talk about what you love, your passion.

I don’t think passion is the strongest motivator. But I do think if you are passionate about your topic, your listeners will hear your passion in your voice, see your passion reflected in your mannerisms, sense the enthusiasm you have from the look in your eyes.
One of the silliest things I think speakers say is, “I am really excited about such and such.” Or “I am really passionate about doing such and such.”
How to Show Your Passion
Passion is not something we say that we have. Passion is reflected in what we feel about our topic.
Your voice will rise into a crescendo, or fall into a whisper. Your arms will swing more dramatically or tense up when you reach deep in your well of passion for the right means of expression.
You can’t fake passion. And, to be sure, you do not need to be passionate about your talk on all levels. But when you are, you can be sure your cruise ship lecture will take a boost.
