So, you wrote a book? Congratulations!
Now what?
How do you get that book to go to work for you? How do you get it read? How do you get the book to open doors for you to consult, or speak? Perhaps get you a gig on a cruise ship?
Here are some strategies:
1. Give away free copies of your book to key business people: You don’t have to print your book anymore. In fact, some people prefer NON-print versions so they can read them on the gadgets. Give away as many copies of your book as your budget will allow to the people you want to get in front of.
2. Give away free copies of your book to event planners, agents and organizers. In the end, if not on a cruise ship or if also on a cruise ship, give a copy of your book in .pdf form to as many people who have the power to get you in front of others as possible.

3. Reach out to companies and schools. If your book teaches, give to those who need to be taught or have groups of people they serve who need to be taught. Don’t worry about them stealing your ‘stuff.’ Nobody can really replace you.
4. Build an online presence. It is cheaper for people to find you than for you to find them. Check out my website on local seo marketing, what I do in my other ‘life.’ Most of the time when I speak it’s because I am being sought out and asked to, not the other way around.
