Cruise Speaking agencies need to see your YouTube to evaluate you

Your YouTube allows agencies to validate your ability

We’ve gotten a lot of emails regarding our blog about the YouTube requirement – so I’m going to present the topic again to drive it home. yes, it’s THAT important.

A major part of your application to the Cruise Speaking Booking Agencies is your speaking sample before a live audience. Despite all your credentials, they need to see you in action. This may be a challenge for many. You do NOT need to spend $2,000 to get one done.

Get another person to use a monopod to take you. One camera is fine. Just turn it off/on to get other views. Zoom in occasionally. Get audience shots and reactions. Be sure to get the intro and close (and applause). THEN edit it.

I love the iMovie program from Apple. You’ll need to build titles, do fades to clips, insert photos and check the sound levels. Then watch it a few times to see if there are any glitches. Loading to YouTube is next. I suggest you do this with a HIGH speed connection. My home wifi doesn’t cut it. It often just dies. So I go to the Apple store and load it there. Make it PUBLIC. Send the link to your agent. DONE!!

OK so go to this link. You can use it as a sample for yours. Heck, if you can’t do this, we’d like to do it for you under our Option 2 offering. If local, we can filmit – if out-of-area, send us the raw footage & we’ll edit it.

A good YouTube is your first impression to the Agencies and the Cruise line. Give it your best shot.
