
Beep Beep! That’s the sound a daydreamer often hears, me included.
Or it may be that they are texting or reading an email when they should be driving.
Seriously, daydreamers often find themselves lost in thought, letting their minds wander.
As for me, I do some of my best thinking when someone else is talking. All the while, I hope that I don’t lose my listeners when I am talking. 😎
For the public speaker or cruise ship lecturer, think of daydreaming as talking to yourself and trying to find different ways to get your point across. Talk out loud. Things sound different when you hear them.
Churchill used to practice with dinner guests to get their reactions before choosing his ammo before the Commons. But not all of us have that luxury or can afford it.

Daydreamers allow themselves to wander into different worlds and put themselves in different scenarios and imagine what they will do. Great exercise for creativity.
I used to imagine what I would do if I were in the passenger’s seat and the driver lost control.
One day that very thing happened. I followed the steps that I had rehearsed in my head and despite being in a very precarious situation, we came out of it very much unscathed.
Daydreamers are more creative are better public speakers.
Allow your mind to wander when you have the opportunity. You’ll be glad you did.
