17 Skills Cruise Ship Lecturers Need to Work Their Audience | Introduction
It’s possible I won’t come up with 17 skills. I may end up with more.
I have a working/growing list of skills cruise ship lecturers, gosh, any public speaker should develop to work their audience.
Work their audience = connect, engage, get involved, know, relate, pull on the heartstrings of …
It is not enough to have a canned speech, or even a brown-bagged or plastic-bagged on.
Good speaker go the extra mile to reach their audience where they, the audience is.
I have spoken more times than I have fingers or toes. When my little girl runs out of such digits she says, “That’s a LOT.” I have spoken a LOT.
The experience of speaking a lot has taught me what works and what doesn’t when you are before a crowd. In the coming days/posts I will share my lessons learned and invite you to share yours.
You can wait till I am all done and assimilate all the skills into an ebook or you can read along. Just drop your email below. We will not spam you. Never ever.
Before reading on, however, what skills do you think a cruise ship speaker needs?
