Speak on a Cruise Ship

Speak on a Cruise Ship

Want to have your pick of the lot?

How often would you like to go? One cruise or back to back?

Want to get asked?

I was.

I got an email: Exciting News – 2014 Lecturing Engagements Aboard …..

“(Our agency) will be the exclusive booking agent for (cruise line)’s enrichment programs, including lecturers, watercolor art instructors, bridge instructors, and clergy.”

The letter continued:

“This email has only been sent to a select set of lecturers who I would like to get their requests from first.  If you are receiving this email, I feel you would be an excellent addition to the enrichment program aboard …”

I reckon that means I qualify. I got the email after all.

There was more:

“Please visit www….com and peruse the itineraries.”

And finally:

“Via email, please send me the sailings you would be interested in and available to sail on in your order of preference as well as how many voyages in total you would be available to lecture aboard.”

I went to the web site and ‘perused’ the itineraries. There were 113, count ’em, to check out between now and the end of 2014. The boats went around the world. The only places they didn’t go was the upper Pacific Rim and down under. Everywhere else was fair game.

Overwhelming to be honest. My wife and I went through the list. Rick, co-founder of SpeakOnCruises.com and I went through the list. Finally, a couple of hours ago I sent off my preferences. I will let you know how it pans out.

I will advise on the specific voyages you are confirmed on, which should be by the end of next week if not sooner.

How about you? Have you received your letter yet?

Do you want to know what it takes to get a letter such as this?

That’s what Rick and I do.

I’m interested in watercolorist programs on cruise ships. My most recent cruise was Oct 24-Nov 7 on the Celebrity Infinity. This was a 15 day transatlantic crossing from Harwich, GB to Miami, FL. I gave 8 days of instruction daily to 75 guests (a record number). The Cruise and Activities Directors said they had never before received so many positive reviews and compliments on a watercolorist program. I live in San Diego and am available for long cruises.
