Royal Caribbean names next “Quantum Class” ship – the Ovation

I’m trying to keep our speakers up to date on the “haps” in the Cruise Industry. Friends are going to ask you what’s going on…they will know that you are a speaker and assume you are tied in. Don’t give them a glazed-over look. Read this blog and talk with authority!

We’ve written a LOT about Royal Caribbean and their quest to put more and more and more people on ships. Heck, if you jam 6,000 people at a whack and burn a tad more fuel and a few more meals (at high margins) you can kill three birds with one stone. Why carry 2,000+ when you can have a city? Besides the Captain, maybe a mayor is next.

RC’s shipbuilder of choice, German power , has officially begun the NEXT offering in their Quantum Class. As in the Oasis of the Seas and the Allure of the Seas – but better still. So the Ovation begins the long process of being assembled in Papenburg, Germany.  That’s just off the A31 in the north of the country.

They know what they are doing. Perhaps using the same blueprints they are using for the construction of clones, “Quantum of the Seas” and “Anthem of the Seas.” Both are being made there. The formal rolls out in October, 2016.

The Quantum will be far advance over the first “generation” We’ve covered this extensively. (If you ever want to browse back on these blogs, just go the HOME page and type in the keyword in the SEARCH box) .

Oh yes, RC uses Speakers. Get “accepted” then pick your poison! That’s what we do for a living.
