A review of Viking ships and the great treatment of speakers

We are seeing Viking emerge from being a “river” cruise line into an ocean going one. They are first class. Yes, there are opportunities to get a gig on Viking.  We can help with our seminar on “How to do it.”

The feedback we are getting is that speakers are saying it was their best experience and now hope to only cruise with Viking. A high point of the Viking Star, was the noticeable décor and art of  Scandinavian design. And I’m not talking IKEA.

The Viking Star: 930 passengers

Most of the ship’s admin, front desk and activity areas are easy to find  – all the good stuff is on Decks 1, 2 and 7. (I am usually lost on ships until the last day!) I carry a map with me all the time. They have 5 ships on the water now and about 900 pax is their load. At about 50,000 tons, they are on the small size.

Speakers are berthed in one of four cabins set aside for us.  You’ll get a nice decent-sized LCD TV. Talks are given in the 500-seat Star theater via a very large TV monitor. Real unusual as a computer projector with a white screen is not used. A first for me with a large audience.

The ship has a good fitness room with the standard treadmill, elliptical trainers and dumbbells. HOT NEWS – Wi-Fi is free!! If you volunteer to escort a tour – it’s free. Your job is to herd kittens…keep track of everyone.

We can work with you to be ready to apply to get a Viking Cruise. We know the agencies that book them.  Send us a note with your areas of expertise. Almost any topic can work if it’s developed properly. We’re good at that.
