Regent Seven Seas Cruises expands entertainment

Regent is one of the ultra-luxury class of cruise ships. Speakers and lecturers are treated as passengers when not plying their craft. This means you can attend all the entertainment.

The line has brought out 12 new productions. These will be performed on the Seven Seas Voyager, Seven Seas Mariner and Seven Seas Navigator.

 Here are the new shows:
“Cirque Rock ‘n Roll”
“Dancing in the Streets”
“Film Flashback”
“The Piano Men” .
“Cirque Navigator”
“Broadway Tonight”
“Dawning of Aquarius”
“Cirque L’Amour”
“Come Sail Away”
“Dancing to the Hits”

Technically, Regent has recently upgraded its physical plant. The shows will now use a full-stage LED video wall. The massive monitors will be fed images that will enhance the shows.  Depending on the theme of the performance, unique scenes will be displayed to immerse the audience in the theme of the show. This will save thousands of dollars usually spent on scenery and backdrops. It’s expected that other land based venues may copy this technique. Huge format screens such as seen at stadiums make this possible.

All of Regent’s main show rooms have new carpeting, upholstery, wall coverings, cocktail tables, wall sconces, banquettes and chairs.

Getting a gig on Regent is one of my goals. I’ve not been, but I only hear great reviews.
