MeetUps provide valuable training for Cruise Ship Speakers | Jan 20 in Palo Alto

In the last few years, a phenomenon called “MeetUps” has become the hot commodity in the internet space. So what exactly is a MeetUp? The company is located in New York hit the jackpot with this venture. MeetUp is the world’s largest network of local groups. Once you join, anyone can organize a local group or find one of the thousands already meeting up face-to-face. Any subject is game. More than 9,000 groups get together in local communities each day, each one with the goal of improving themselves or their communities.

There are 15 million members, supporting 142,000 Meetup Groups in 196 countires. A member can create one and invite like-minded people to attend. It’s usually free to share interests. Bill Bradley of Allen & Company is a fellow of MeetUp. FYI, he was a Rhodes Scholar, a Senator, an Olympic gold medalist and on the 1965 NCAA All-America Basketball team. He also was a leader of the New York Knicks NBA basketball tream,

These sessions attract propective and current speakers who want to develop their skills and perhaps speak on cruise ships one day.
