Frommer’s Guidebooks to change format

The Frommer’s series of guidebooks have been the “go-to” source for detailed information about destinations on cruise ships. Turns out Arthur is now 83 and still cranking them out. His daughter, Pauline is taking over a lot from dad.

is starting a new series called “EasyGuides.”  They will release 20 new titles soon. They will also update 10 from the “Day to Day” series. Those were previously published under agreement with Wiley Press. Those titles will be e-versions, perfect for your tablet or smart phone.

Frommer got his brand back in April of this year from Google. They held it until last year. (Following all this?). He now has a relationship with PGW – Publisher’s Group West in Berkeley. PGW also distributes my award worthy book: “One Best Hike: Yosemite’s Half Dome.”

Before you take any cruise, it’s worth the few bucks to get the best guides out there. Nice reading material on those long plane flights.
