I have been to Taiwan several times. I used to have students from Taiwan when I was teaching in Japan.
I also sailed on a small sailboat from Hong Kong to Kaohsiung.
And I nearly got killed by a bus while running there one morning. I have stories to tell about the country. Do you?
Taiwan is booming as a cruise ship destination. So far this year 363 cruise liners have docked in the country. That is up more than 10% from last year and up 60% from last year.
What’s more is that it’s going to keep growing next year.
The whole Asian region is up 8-9%.
Most of the travelers are Chinese – 50%, followed by Japanese and Americans.
Hmmm … I could do my lectures in Japanese, too.
Cruisers will spend more than $100 each. The Chinese will spend upwards of $500 each per day!
In any event … if you have experience in Asia or a topic that will interest those travelers, there’s serious growth happening.
Contact us if you want to be on a cruise ship in the Far East or anywhere in the Asian region for that matter.
Been there, done that myself.
