Debris from rockets in Israeli – Hamas conflict hits ship | Aida leaves area

The daily barrage of rockets leaving Palestine, then being shot down by Israel’s defense, alarmed a cruise ship sailing nearby. Too close for comfort. The Aida is no longer stopping in Israel.

Shrapnel hit the deck as it left the Ashdod harbor recently. Small particles landed about 8 pm. There was no damage, and no one was injured. It could have been very serious. The ship holds nearly 3,000 passengers and crew.

Nerves were rattled on the AIDAdiva and passengers were informed of the situation.

The line announced that all planned stops in Ashdod will go to Santorini instead. Good idea.
