Cruise Ship Lecturers to Compete with Tony Award Winning Mama Mia on Royal Caribbean

Quantum of the Seas

As if we cruise ship lecturers didn’t have enough to compete with to get the attention of the 3,000, 4,000, 5,000 or more cruisers.

To be sure, the cruise lines go out of their way to make cruises the experience of a lifetime for its passengers – including putting the best lecturers on board possible. And why not?

Royal Caribbean has announced that they will have Tony Award-winning Mama Mia playing on one of their cruise ships – The Quantum of the Seas. Coming in November 2014.

When I am not talking on board, which is about 164 out of the 168 hours I am on board, I, too, look for other things to do.

I have seldom been disappointed by the evening shows. There was this magician once, however.

Royal Caribbean does great shows. Their on board staff works hard and it shows for their musical productions.

RCI has done Hairspray, Chicago: The Musical and Saturday Night Fever.

If I were a cruise ship lecturer, I’d do a series on musicals, their history, their impact, their stars, their venues …

My bet is there is somebody reading this who knows a LOT about musicals, has done many a review, or just has seen a lot of them.

Wanna be on a cruise ship and give talks?

You know what to do.
