How to Create the Wow Factor | Best Chase down Ever | Ben Watson

One of the key elements for an outstanding lecture, on a cruise ship or otherwise is to be able to serve up the WOW factor.

In other words you want your listeners to thing or even say, “I did not see that coming. Wow!”

Benjamin Watson delivers the wow factor in a playoff game between the New England Patriots and the Denver Broncos.

A question:

1. If all the world were watching, how would you behave? Differently? The same? What if you did indeed have a worldwide audience? What would you say or do?

A better question:

2. If nobody in the world were watching, how would you behave? Differently? The same? What if absolutely nobody saw you coming? What would you say or do?

In the video above, only a wide angled camera ‘happened’ to catch what he was doing. Nobody else of the 80,000-ish spectators even remotely noticed him. Then suddenly out of nowhere.

That’s the wow factor.

Watson says about a coach, “Stuff like that doesn’t take a whole lot of talent. It’s just effort.”

Public speakers do not need to be exceptionally talented, though it helps, but they do need to deliver effort = WOW.

More often than not is is not what you say but the effort you go to try to get your message across.

Aim for WOW in your next presentation.
