What Do Weight Loss and Speaking on a Cruise Ship Have in Common (Part 9)

In this introduction post I explained how I came upon this 12-part series of Weight Loss and Speaking on a Cruise ship. Please take a look.

Here in part 9 I want to address question 9 with a twist.

9.) If I were to suddenly win the lottery, what would I be compelled to do?
Give your best

Give your best

I find this question perhaps the most fun of the 12.

What if suddenly I had everything, as in everything = nothing held back, at my disposal when I walked up on stage to deliver my presentation, what would I do?

Suppose there were no rules. How would I do things differently?

The topic is decided. We really can’t change that. But suppose you have unlimited resources to deliver on that topic. How would you do things differently? What would you do differently?

Pixar is famous for coming up with ideas first, then finding the money to make it happen. Whereas most movie companies will say, “Here’s your budget. Do the best you can with it.”

If there were no limits on what you could do on stage, what would you do? Now work to make that happen. It won’t be easy. But trying is free, right?

Give your audience the I-won-the-lottery version of your presentation.

Your audience will be glad you did and so will you.
