What Do Weight Loss and Speaking on a Cruise Ship Have in Common (Part 4)

In this introduction post I explained how I came upon this 12-part series of Weight Loss and Speaking on a Cruise ship. Please take a look.

Here in part 4 I want to address question 4 with a twist.

4.) Is there anything more or deeper that I’d like to learn to be better?
Find something you really want to share

Find something you really want to share

One of the best ways I can think of to become a really good speaker is to have or find something you really want to share with others.

Have you ever met a girl who just finished training for and running a full marathon? You can’t stop them from talking about it.

Or the guy who just dropped 35 pounds? He’s got to tell you how.

Or the friend who just landed a job at a prestigious company? He or she will let you know all about their career journey.

Or the club member who took a couple of years to finally complete a mountain climb, cross-state bike ride or triathlon?  Yup… .talk, talk, talk.

When you have something that you have mastered, that you have gone really deep on, that you are genuinely in love with, you’ll find a way to tell others about it.

Why not apply that passion to your presentation topic?

Don’t just know something. Master it.

Your audience will be glad you did and so will you.

Talk to us to get on board as a cruise ship speaker. You know you want to.
