In this introduction post I explained how I came upon this 12-part series of Weight Loss and Speaking on a Cruise ship. Please take a look.
Here in part 3 I want to address question 3 with a twist.
3.) Am I completely at peace with myself and my example to others? What would I like to project?

Speakers know what it is like to speak to people who are there to learn from them. If I have been someplace the majority of my audience has not been, no sweat.
If I have done something or know how to do something that most of my audience has not done, no sweat.
Imagine for a moment you are speaking to a room full of other cruise ship speakers.
Imagine for a moment you are speaking to a room full of other speakers, experts in your profession.
Imagine for a moment you are speaking to a room full of people who are experts in the destination you are headed.
What would you do differently? Would you do anything differently?
My bet is, you would up your game?
Why wait till then? Why not give the audience you have before you the best you have?
The last time I spoke on a cruise ship my genuine desire was to have someone write on their ship board evaluation of the trip something along the lines, “The trip was great but I was not expecting that cruise ship lecturer to be that good.”
While walking off the plank to go home, one of the regulars to my talk told me she had written that very thing … almost word for word.
Don’t be satisfied with good when you can do great.
Your audience and you will be glad you gave your best!
Talk to us to get on board as a cruise ship speaker. You know you want to.
