Cruise speakers: Speak for Free – practice practice practice

Speaking requires lots of practice

You are a cruise ship speaker…right?  You’ve done a couple gigs and now you are set. Really? How can you get better?

Since car mechanics get better by working on cars, and basketball players get better by playing a lot … YOU need to speak a lot. Every chance you get.

Free is pretty cheap – hard to buy a new car like that. BUT there are so many venues that would love to have you in return for a rubber chicken lunch. I say do it. I speak at Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions, Elks and even one called the Sons In Retirement.

They always have a need for noon speakers. This is a great place to try out new material – in a safe environment. Try that video you grabbed off of YouTube.  How about the audio clip of the 3 Stooges that fits into your talk. Make sure it gets a laugh before you do it on the Good Ship Lollipop and it falls flat.

Another benefit?  These talks will build your confidence. The more you talk, the more comfortable you will be handling all kinds of audiences.

One more benefit?  There are always fingers in the audience – people who know people. That is a great way to get referrals for your mainline work. Want to talk at an association? Well, maybe one of those Lions has a son in the field and could use you.

Go for it.

Let us help you in all aspects of speaking  – And get you on a ship – for a free cruise.
